January 202216 January 2021 Wow,16 days in already and no update. That's pretty slack, but mind you, there is not too much to update with, except we have finished work for this years harvest. Joanne finished a few weeks ago, we moved from the wheat bin to the caravan park following the introduction of the CBH Covid 19 policy, and I finished two days ago after two weeks of clean up and outloading the G Type Shed of the 22,000 tonnes of Malt Barley that was in there. So over the past two days we have been slowly sorting ourselves out, cleaning the rig, installing a new outside locker door to replace the one with broken hinges, cleaning the car, work clothes sorting and storing stuff. We are paid up in the caravan park until Wednesday morning, and all being well after my second vaccination on Tuesday, we will leave that morning. If not, we will be staying until I recover. The plan at this stage is to head to Perth, visit family and friends, get new tyres on the whole rig, get the ute serviced, check our storage unit and camper trailer before heading off down South somewhere to where it is cooler. We then have Michael's 200 mile race to crew for him and then...we will see. Mark Twain once said "...years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do that by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - and so we will. |
